Dungog Under 9s vs Greta/Branxton Colts

Dungog under 9’s played at home this week against Greta-Branxton. Dungog started slowly but managed to score early on through some hard running by Lachlan Riley and Riley Cummings. Tommy Teleski-Williams chased well from marker and Zac Ribbons was tackling hard and low in defence. Greta-Branxton had a bigger team but that didn’t stop the little guys like Fraser Lovegrove and Henry Hancock from taking them down to the ground. Dungog played much better in the second half, spreading out in defence and attack. Luke Montford got the boys running onto the ball with some strong runs from Sam Turner and Jack Miller who had the defence bamboozled. Darcy Hill constantly had the opposition on their toes with his elusive side stepping and Jackobi Haigh showed great vision running out of dummy half. Try scorers were Jackobi Haigh 2, Zac Ribbons, Jack Miller and Lachlan Riley and we also kicked two goals. Well done boys. David Kemp
