Dungog Junior Rugby League Football Club

Dungog JRLFC is a junior rugby league club located at the foot of the Barrington Tops in picturesque Dungog. In season 2015 Dungog is fielding 12 teams from Under 6s to Under 16s, and these children come from Dungog, Stroud, Clarence Town, Gresford and Paterson areas and surrounds making it a real community club.
Our emphasis is on our players, parents, committee and supporters all being a part of the club to give it strength in numbers. Through this strength we aim to provide the best facilities, equipment and opportunities for all of our players and coaches.
We have strong links to our local NRL team the Newcastle Knights, as well as CRL and NRL Development teams, where we have had several and will continue to have coaching clinics and courses readily available to all of our players, coaches, manager, league safe and First Aid Officers.
The club has always been strong in the community, and the support of our sponsors is second to none and without the generosity of these individuals and businesses, what we do would be impossible.
To prove we are a community club, last season we organised a fundraising night in support of injured Knight’s player Alex McKinnon and the #riseforalex fund, where we raised just over $23,000 in one night.
In season 2015 we are holding in conjunction with the wonderful Mark Hughes Foundation, another fundraising night to support our club and the Mark Hughes Foundation, which provides funding to research and help find a cure for brain cancer.
Our club, like any successful club is made up of some wonderful volunteers who commit lots of hours to the cause. They are all following on in the footsteps of committees before them over time since the late 1960’s when the Dungog Warriors were formed, that have all helped to shape the club to what it is today.
