Dungog Under 12s vs Kurri Kurri

Round 1, what a 1st round, against a very strong rugby league town
like Kurri Kurri. The first half saw the boys line up with just 12
players, and didn’t they hold their own. Jacob Whitbread & James
Campbell were very strong up the middle. Callum Hooke’s 1st half try
was a great reward for his effort out wide. Jayden Gooch was also strong,
showing no fear. Our halves worked well together. Jayden Cassar with a
number of line breaks, and a hat trick of tries, what a great pick up for our team,
watch out for this young man. We saw try for try in this first 20
minutes. Second half was much the same as the first. Riley Bashford’s
efforts in the kicking department were great with strong chasing from
the boys. Tom McDougall quick & calm in the dummy half role, setting
our back line up. what a great start. Jack Parish can stand tall with
excellent up the middle running & leadership as captain. Not much game
left, Ben Saunders & Archie Gallagher very strong with on the line
defence, stopping tries out wide. With only minutes to go our great
Warrior Aaron Fisher, playing his second game for the day offloading a
great ball to Liam Kennedy who as always stepped up in attack &
defence, then backing up, Jarod Hunt smashed through for the winning
try. Top game by our young men. You watch this team Dungog!
